Mr. Wasif Rizvi is the founding President of Habib University, Pakistan’s first liberal arts and science institution of higher learning. Mr. Rizvi conceptualized the intellectual vision of the university through an in-depth analysis of social, political and economic challenges faced by the country. Under his leadership, Habib University has created a paradigm shift in higher education, specifically at the undergraduate level; and in a short span of time garnered recognition from leading international academics and institutions. He holds twin graduate degrees from Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard School of Education. Prior to founding Habib University, Wasif was associated with the Aga Khan Education Services in Pakistan and spearheaded many development projects across Asia and Africa.
